I’m David Carter. I served in the Air Force for many years and often imagined of becoming a pilot. When I used to be a young kid I tinkered with my Airfix planes playing around my back yard pretending to be a war hero flying in a dog fight and becoming a hero. When it came to sit my exams to become a pilot, I simply couldn’t get the grades. I was heartbroken. I completed a lengthy service with the Air force and when i left, my partner bought me flying lessons as a present. My passion was re-awoken; the only problem was that flying classes would be very expensive and I couldnt afford them.
My flight trainer understood exactly how much I desired to fly and just how much money that had been invested. He really fully understood my disappointment at being unable to fly a plane by myself. What he stated next took me by total shock. In fact I believed he was joking.
I could hardly believe he started speaking about flight simulator games. I did not want to play foolish games what I dreamed of was to fly for real.
